"The staff and facilities are really wonderful"

We offer palliative care to patients with advanced and progressive life threatening disease, particularly those suffering from cancer, and support for their relatives and carers in an atmosphere of calm with tenderness, care and quiet efficiency.
The hospice is the main specialist palliative care unit for the communities of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley, serving a population of some 385,000.

This year's Hospice Summer Solstice Walk raises over £50,000 to date, and is still growing. Thank you to all of you who have sent in your sponsorship, to those who have not forwarded their sponsorship please send it now.
Date for this years '25th Anniversary' walk is 20th June 2009. Details will be posted on the website very soon.
The Silver jubilee walk this year is very significant in the history of the Hospice. Exactly 25 years to the day the East Lancashire Hospice first open it's doors to patients and their families. The hospice are very pleased and priviledged to have cared for over 15,000 patients and their families during that time.
Please help us to make this years event very special in memory of those 15,000 patients and their families.
